- To get your arms ready for swimsuits, tank tops and sleeveless sundresses, do push-ups every day. Push-ups are great for toning the upper body and core. They are also a simple exercise and can be done with no equipment required.
- Jump squats will tone your legs and bottom. Just like a regular squat with the added step of bursting into the air. Your lower body muscles are some of the biggest so it is important to focus on them when exercising.
- Get outside and exercise! Running is the best exercise to burn calories. Run 30-45 minutes for 3-4 days a week and you will burn a lot of extra calories to get ready for summer. If running isn’t your thing, go for a walk or bike ride. Anything is better than sitting indoors!
- Limit alcohol consumption. Alcohol is a lot of extra calories so if trying to lose weight and look good for summer, cut out alcohol from your diet.
- Stand with good posture. You’ll look good and feel good. Standing with good posture makes you look slimmer and sucking in your stomach through out the day strengthens the stomach muscles. You can also do this while sitting but pulling back your shoulders and using your stomach muscles.
- Reduce carbs in your daily diet. By cutting carbs in half during meal time, you can cut out those calories and lose a few pounds. Everyone loves pasta and bread but cutting these foods down will help with weight loss.
- Drink a lot of water. Water is good for you in more ways than one. Often the body confuses thirsty for hungry. Drink a glass of water if feeling hungry during the day. You can also have a glass of water before meals. This will help with over eating because you won’t be as hungry.
- Take the stairs whenever possible. Using the stairs instead of the elevator is a great way to get in extra exercise during normal, every day activities.
- Sit-ups work and tone your abs. You’ll look good in a bikini with toned abs. Pair this with push-ups and jump squats for the best exercise.
